Candidates who have done graduation in the following fields they can apply in Pakistan Army in direct short service commission for the post of captain. Following fields such as Physics, Mathematics, Geography/GIS, English, Political Science, History, Islamic Studies/Arabic, Management Sciences, Library Science, Pak Studies, Educations, LLB Qualified and DVM.

- Minimum 60% marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA in science subjects and 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in Arts subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.
- Minimum 2 CGPA out of 4 or 50% marks for Law Officers and Psychology.
- MS/MPhil/PHD will be given preference.
- Candidates must have obtained the entire qualification (Matric till MA/MSC/BS) as a regular student.
Selection Procedure
Intelligence/Academic Tests:
Intelligence and Academic tests based on multiple choice questions MCQS will be conducted at Army Selection & Recruitment Centers AS&RC.
Initial Medical Tests:
Candidates will undergo initial medical test at AS&RC.
Physical Tests:
Candidates are required to qualify following physical tests:

Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) Tests:
